In 1957, Rameshbhai A Patel and Jayantilal A Patel opened a small optical store on Relief Road in Ahmedabad. Gujarat was a different place then, and an optician who genuinely understood the eye, rather than one who simply handed over a pair of glasses, was rare. That clinical commitment is what set Nagar apart from the beginning, and it is what still distinguishes the practice three generations later.

Most people visit an optical store when they cannot see clearly and leave with a new pair of glasses. That exchange is straightforward. What has been built here over 69 years is something slightly different: a practice where clinical judgment comes first, where a patient with keratoconus gets the same attention as a patient collecting their first reading glasses, and where we do not carry that in stock means we will source it rather than substitute it.
The eyewear we sell, from Prada and Gucci to Cartier and Maybach, is premium because quality matters in something worn on the face for twelve hours a day. But the reason patients drive from Rajasthan to Ahmedabad is not the frames. It is because we can fit a lens that no one else in the region can.
